Cookie policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

This page explains which cookies unistel.it uses. It is written by CORSAL S.r.l. (Unistel brand), the data controller. It follows the EU privacy regulation (GDPR) and the Italian cookie rules.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files the site saves on your device, usually in the browser. They keep the pages working and, only if you accept, they count visits.

2. Which cookies we use

a) Technical cookies. They keep the site working and remember the choice you make in the banner. They are not used to follow you for advertising. These do not need consent.

Besides cookies, the site saves some data in the browser’s storage (localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB). It stays on your device: the browser does not send it to us on its own. It is technical, like the cookies in point a):

  • cookie choice (`unistel-cookie-consent-v1`, localStorage): remembers whether you pressed “Accept” or “Reject”. It stays until you change your choice or clear the site’s data in the browser;
  • place-request draft (`unistel-booking-draft-v3`, sessionStorage): what you type in the request form, signature included, so it is not lost if you reload the page. It is deleted when you close the tab or once the request is sent;
  • documents being uploaded (`unistel-booking-files-v1`, IndexedDB): the identity document and proof of enrolment chosen in the request form, before sending. They are deleted once the request is sent, or when you reopen the request page in a tab without a draft;
  • student portal session (`unistel-student-auth`, localStorage): keeps you signed in to the portal. It stays until you sign out of the portal or clear the site’s data in the browser;
  • home photo (`unistel.home-hero-override.v1`, localStorage): remembers which photo to show first. It holds no personal data and stays until you clear the site’s data in the browser.

Anti-spam check, with Cloudflare Turnstile. On the Contact and request pages a Cloudflare check verifies that a person is sending the form. It receives the IP address and some technical signals from the browser and device, including in the United States. It is not used for advertising or statistics and does not ask for consent: we use it on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the forms from spam. Details are in the Privacy notice.

b) Statistics cookies, with Google Analytics 4. They show, in anonymous form, how many people open the site, which pages they see, what kind of device they use and which area they come from (approximate city, derived from the IP address). We do not use them for advertising, and we do not link visits to a Google account (Google Signals is off).

These cookies start only if you press “Accept”. If you press “Reject”, or if you close the banner without choosing, no Google script starts.

If you accept, the browser receives the `_ga` and `_ga_…` cookies. They stay on the device for 2 years. Visit data goes to Google, including in the United States, so outside the European Union. We keep it in Google Analytics for 14 months.

3. Why we can use them

Technical cookies and the browser storage listed above are used so the site can work, and they provide a service you asked for: the form, the portal, the cookie choice. Italian law (Article 122 of the Privacy Code) does not ask for consent for these.

Google Analytics 4 is used only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). “Accept” and “Reject” carry the same weight: refusing is as easy as accepting. Closing the banner without pressing either one does not count as consent.

4. How to change your mind

You can change your mind whenever you want, from the footer: “Manage cookies”. If you had pressed “Accept” and you switch to “Reject”, we delete the `_ga` and `_ga_…` cookies and Google Analytics stops collecting, including on that same visit.

You can also delete cookies from your browser settings. If you block technical cookies, some parts of the site may stop working.

5. Rights and controller
